The Eco Committee

Chislehurst School for Girls

At Chislehurst School for Girls, we believe it is important for pupils to take ownership of their learning and have a greater role promoting environmental issues with the school and local community.

The Eco Committee has been going for about 2 years. We provide many opportunities for our students to play a role in ensuring our school is being as Eco-friendly as possible and we recognise many students logical perspectives and opinions on issues that matter in the classroom, in the school and in the wider community.

We are a group of students and staff who care about the impact we have on the environment. Our Eco Committee is dedicated to this goal and last year we gained our silver Eco School status and we are keen to continue!

Our Action Plan:

Our main aims:

  • Carry out an environmental review to evaluate our school’s performance against the nine Eco topics and write an action plan for the year ahead.
  • Ensure our school is an environmentally friendly and sustainable place.
  • Promote environmental awareness and understanding to pupils, staff and the wider community.
  • To make our planet better for everyone

We believe we can make a difference.
