The History of our School

At Chislehurst School for Girls, we pride ourselves on being at the centre of the local  community, providing a safe, happy, welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors. During the past 125 years, Thousands of girls (and now boys in the Sixth Form) have been educated within the walls and grounds of Chislehurst School and as we enter this, our 125th year, since being established in 1896 as Sidcup High School, we encourage all prospective parents and students to take a moment to read about our varied and fascinating history in the document below; and, when able, to visit our school to see our fantastic learning environment.
