National Eco Committee

As everyone is aware, we have a thriving Eco Committee in School. We work alongside the Eco Schools programme which is a National organisation aimed at involving schools and young people in making sustainable changes for an environmentally friendly future. We've been a bit quiet recently as we head in to Winter and the nights have been drawing in, but plans are already afoot for next year's projects.

However, Caitlin our Head girl and Lead Eco Committee member recently applied to become part of a National Eco committee team. She was selected as one of 25 young representatives across the entire country which is a massive achievement. this new group of amazing young people will be working on four key areas over the coming year: 

1.  How education can prepare young people for green jobs, such as Environmental Lawyer or Green Product Specialist
2. Impactful Environmental based projects
3. Green Careers week
4. Showcasing how young people can lead environmental change
