Chislehurst School for Girls is located within the local authority of the London Borough of Bromley, and therefore our Year 7 and In-year Admissions are co-ordinated by the London Borough of Bromley.

Year 7 Admissions
For applications to secondary school, you are advised to refer to your local authority’s website for information on applying, including where to apply and when by.
As a guide, applications for Year 7 admissions open on 1st September of the year prior to your child starting Year 7. The national deadline for 2026-2027 admissions was 31st October 2025. Your local authority’s website will have the most up to date information on key application dates.
We encourage all families interested in joining our school to attend our Open Evening, which takes place in the Autumn Term. Dates for next year will be published in due course, and will be on the home page of our website. Visiting our Open Evening is the best way to get a feel for our unique ‘Chislehurst way’.
Each year we take in a new cohort of Year 7 girls to begin their secondary school life with us. We are passionate about getting the transition to secondary school right, and offer a variety of events and opportunities for information to be given to the children and families joining our school community.

In-year Admissions
If you are looking to apply for a place at our school between Year 7 and Year 11 during the school year and outside of the normal transfer process for Year 7, please visit the London Borough of Bromley website to apply: Apply to move schools.
Bromley hold the waiting list for our school and are best placed to advise on your position on our waiting list.
Upon offer of a place with us, you will be invited in for a pre-admission meeting with your child’s prospective Head of Year or Director of Studies. We aim to provide a smooth and supportive transfer to our school to ensure that your daughter can thrive with us.
