16-19 Tuition Funding

Chislehurst School for Girls Post 16

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is one-off funding for the academic year. It is ring fenced funding for 16 to 19 providers to help to try and mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID19). The funding is to support students who have not achieved a grade 4 in English and/or Maths at GCSE, or have achieved a grade 4 but come from an economically disadvantaged background where they may benefit from small group tuition. These students will be on a normal 16-19 study programme.

It is estimated that Chislehurst School for Girls will receive £7,647 from the 16-19 Tuition Fund. This funding will be used to support students in Year 12 or Year 13 who have not achieved a pass at GCSE at grade 5 or below in either English or Maths. Students will also receive any resources and materials necessary for the curriculum for their other Post 16 subjects.

Tuition will be in small groups with existing Chislehurst School for Girls staff, with no more than 5 students and in exceptional circumstances this may be extended to 7. Students will receive tuition from a dedicated team of experienced staff who are committed to supporting the students to gain the qualifications in English and Maths that they are capable of.
