We look forward to joyously celebrating Black History Month at Chislehurst School for Girls this October.  Black history, culture and contributions to society are intrinsic in our curriculum, which is frequently reviewed by our student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team (E.D.I.T).  Check out the recent events on our website under ‘Equality and Diversity’.  We will be celebrating Black History Month in a variety of ways including:

Black History Month Gala Concert – Wednesday 11^th October 2023, 5-7pm

Students and staff will be organising a Black History Month concert, inviting students to perform songs, dances, drama, poetry readings and other expressions of culture, of black origin.  The theme for the concert this year will be ‘Celebrating Women who tell Stories’.  Parents and students are invited to attend as audience members.  There will be a range of tasty African and Caribbean foods to sample.  There will also be a blue chair talk, with speakers from a range of different backgrounds.  Please note that ticket numbers will be limited and on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets are priced at £4.50 for under 16s and £5.50 for adults. 

The deadline is Friday 22^nd September. 

Parents and students will not be able to purchase tickets after this date as due to the two-week window required to order food.  Parents and students can not be admitted to this event on the night without prior booking.
