The World is your Oyster
On the evening of Tuesday 12th November, we were proud to host the first 'The World is Your Oyster' event.
This was an event to celebrate female leadership and empowerment and give the students a chance to think about and discuss their future career aspirations.
Students had an opportunity to hear from a range of successful women including Paralympic bronze medalist Gemma Prescott, Director of Risk and Audit at the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime Julie Norgrove and award winning Dentist Dr Uchenna Okoye.
Students then had a chance to have speed mentoring sessions with a range of other highly successful women. We were so pleased that two CHSFG alumni Chellsie Brooks and Abbie Lightfoot-Athill made up the mentoring panel.
One of our students summed the event up best by saying; "It was a really inspirational. It's made me think about what I need to do to be successful".
